The Dark Side of Elites Grid: How elites grid cat coaching Scam Students with their Fake Reviews, Results, and Credentials
In recent years, online coachings has exploded in popularity, offering students access to exam preparation for competitive tests such as the CAT, GMAT, and others from the comfort of their homes. While many reputable platforms provide excellent resources and support, a darker side of this industry has emerged—where some CAT online coaching scam students with fake reviews, doctored results, and phony faculty credentials. One such coaching that came to light whose name is elites grid, a cat online coaching that relies on such measures for money. These fraudulent practices have serious consequences for students, who invest their time, money, and hopes in an education that ultimately betrays them.
MBA Updates conducted a survey around this coaching to know the reality behind the elites grid reviews and the results were very shocking. We have attached the findings below:-
Fake Faculty Credentials
Elites grid faculty member Mr. Hunny Malhotra claims himself to be an IIT Roorkee graduate, 3 times CAT QA 99 %iler, and a UPSC mains qualifier, sounds very good but unfortunately, it is all a lie. Here’s why

Reason 1- There’s not a single piece of evidence proving Hunny Malhotra has scored 99 %ile in any of the sections of the CAT exam nor does he have any certificate that claims that he is an IIT Roorkee graduate. Also, he doesn’t have any evidence to back his claim of qualifying UPSC mains.
The picture given below is the snapshot of elites grid cat faculty Hunny Malhotra’s Inside IIM website where he claims that he has scored more than 99 %ile in CAT QA consecutively for three years, Rather, it was found on his other account that when he was a CAT aspirant, he scored around 85%ile and asked for assistance on what to do next. It’s not a shame that he didn’t score or get to an IIM but luring students to his coaching (elites grid) based on his fabricated claims is not the right.

Reason 2- The following is the screenshot shared by Elites Grid’s Hunny Malhotra on his own Facebook account claiming to have cleared UPSC prelims and mains where he also shares his interview transcript. The thing to note is according to his posts if we look carefully, he cleared both UPSC as well as scored a CAT 99 + percentile in the same year, which is either extraordinary or he thinks people to be dumbwits to believe this fact, well in this case it is mostly the later one.

Reason 3- Upon researching further we got to know that neither Mr Hunny nor any of the elites grid faculty members have secured even a decent percentile in the CAT exam but yet they mislead their students with their fabricated results.

Fake Reviews and Inflated Promises
One of the most alarming tactics used by Elites grid is the fabrication of fake reviews. In a digital-first world, online reviews often serve as the primary basis for trust. However, behind the scenes, most of these reviews are either completely manufactured or solicited through fraudulent means, creating a misleading picture of the elites grid’s success. Upon digging a little deeper we got to know that there’s a dedicated team of elites grid who have been hired for the sole purpose of flooding review sites, and social media sites like Quora, reddit, telegram, etc with their fake reviews. These “students” claim top scores in exams, citing the elites grid as their savior. In reality, the reviewers have never been real students or even associated with the coaching. And it becomes easy for these people to put fake reviews on these sites because there are no background checks or personal details required on such websites unlike LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
